HHH Kicks Off Aluminum Can Fundraiser

Chairman Tommy Yarborough poses with our first full bag of aluminum cans!

Homeless Helping Homeless is collecting empty aluminum cans as part of a fundraiser that will last until November 15th. Members began by collecting the cans they picked up as part of their community clean-up days. The idea was passed on to a HHH volunteer, who began picking up empty cans on her morning walk. Members like the idea because it combines the group's commitment to beautifying the community with their belief in self-sufficiency.
You can participate two ways:
1. Collect cans and bring them to Liz's office at the Urban Ministry Center (945 N. College St. Charlotte)
2. If your work place or community of faith would like to participate, you can arrange for a weekly pick-up of the cans by contacting Liz at 704-926-0608 or lclasen@urbanministrycenter.org.
