First UMC Movie Night a Success

"Movie Night." The idea was born when Jack, Michelle, and Darren, three Christians wanting to serve God in the guise of the "lease of these," attended a Homeless Helping Homeless meeting. They suggested an outdoor movie showing. HHH Member Dirk Thune suggested the film "Pay it Forward." Thursday, October 18th the dream was realized. The threat of storms moved the film inside, but the light-green walls of the soup kitchen proved a perfect backdrop for the projector.

Thanks to Beth and Jason for providing staff support. Thanks to Jack, Michelle and Darren for the idea, the equipment, and all the candy, popcorn and soda one could hope to consume. Finally, thanks for the homeless community for showing up and enjoying yourselves. We look forward to future showings.
